The CMSE Welcomes Dr. Antonio Webb

Dr. Antonio Webb received his BS in chemical engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and his MS and PhD in biomedical engineering from Northwestern University. After graduating, he co-founded VesselTek Biomedical where he developed controlled drug eluting vascular grafts and perivascular wraps to prevent neointimal hyperplasia and thrombosis associated with vascular injury.  Prior to joining the Materials Science and Engineering department at UF, Dr. Webb was an assistant professor in the biochemical engineering program within the college of engineering at the University of Georgia.  Dr. Webb’s research is focused the development of elastomeric biomaterials for use in tissue engineering/regenerative medicine, drug delivery, and medical devices.

Feel free to view Dr. Webb's research interests at our Research Areas page.
